Building A Strong Community

This year BLB Custom Building joined together for the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center’s annual Walk Against Domestic Violence. The walk supports the extensive work of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, servicing women and children in nine local communities who are victims of domestic violence. Last March, BLB Custom Building owner, Ben Becker, attended the White Ribbon Breakfast hosted by the Crisis Center and was captivated by the stories told by the two speakers, Scott Brown and Andre Dubus. Since then, he knew that he wanted to get his company involved in the Center’s mission, and help to make a difference in putting an end to domestic violence.

With a  team of 11, the BLB crew and their families braved the rainy weather and walked 3.5 miles to show their support of the Crisis Center’s work. The team raised over $1,800 with generous donations from the crew, friends, family, customers, and fellow contractors in the community.
